How We Find Flights 40% Cheaper (And You Can Too)

Fare alerts, flexible dates, nearby airports and the 6-week rule — the exact playbook our scouts use.
Flight pricing looks like chaos, but it follows patterns. Airlines open a fixed number of cheap fare buckets per flight, and when those sell out, the price jumps. This is why the same seat can cost €74 on Tuesday and €210 on Friday.
The single highest-impact habit: set fare alerts. Use Google Flights or Skyscanner to track your route, and let the price come to you instead of checking daily.
Be flexible on dates when you can. Shifting a trip by two or three days routinely saves 30–40%. Midweek departures (Tuesday/Wednesday) are almost always cheaper than weekends.
Check nearby airports. For Prague travellers this means Vienna, Berlin and Dresden. The 2-hour bus is often worth €100+ in savings.
Finally, the 6-week rule: for European routes, prices are statistically lowest about 6 weeks before departure. Book earlier for peak summer; later rarely helps.
